The NATO Annual Discipline Forum (ADF) 2024 is set to convene from February 20-22 at the Van der Valk congress and SPA Hotel in Mons, marking a pivotal event in the Alliance's ongoing efforts to enhance its Education and Individual Training (E&IT) capabilities.
The event serves as a critical mechanism for aligning NATO's E&IT activities with the alliance's strategic objectives. This includes the integration of innovative concepts such as Multi-Domain Operations (MDO) and Digital Transformation (DT), ensuring that NATO forces are prepared to meet current and future challenges with the relevant skills and knowledge.
The ADF's significance lies in its role as a forum for synchronization and coordination within the E&IT domain, fostering discussions that span a wide array of topics related but not limited only to education and training. Co-chaired by the HQ SACT Assistant Chief of Staff for Joint Force Development and the SHAPE Assistant Chief of Staff for Joint Education, Training, and Exercise, the forum is instrumental in identifying and addressing challenges, thereby facilitating the continuous improvement of NATO's E&IT efforts.
Through constructive dialogue and strategic collaboration, the ADF 2024 aims to reinforce the cohesion, readiness and interoperability of NATO forces, ensuring they remain capable and interoperable in the face of diverse global threats.
