LTC Damir Alibašić takes command over the Peace Support Operations Training Centre (PSOTC) on August 01, 2024, which was manifested by a change of command ceremony today.
In the presence of COL Toni Mišić, Commandant of the Training and Doctrine Command (TRADOC) of the Armed Forces of Bosnia and Herzegovina, and COL Slobodan Simić, Chief of Staff of TRADOC, the handover of command at the Peace Support Operations Training Centre (PSOTC) was conducted. LTC Davor Nikolić, Chief of Staff of PSOTC, formally transferred the command duties to the newly appointed PSOTC Commandant, LTC Damir Alibašić. This transition represents an important event for the Centre known for its commitment to excellence in training and education for peace support operations.
LTC Alibašić has been a dedicated member of the Centre for many years, making an invaluable contribution to both the development of training programs and the international recognition of PSOTC. Notably, he led the mobile training team for over three years and headed the Education and Training Development Section for more than four years.
COL Mišić highlighted that the new PSOTC Commandant is expected to advance the Centre’s education and training activities for military, police, and civilian personnel engaged in peace support operations, in collaboration with his team.
“With great honor and responsibility, I assume the position of Commandant of PSOTC,” said LTC Alibašić. “I extend my gratitude to the previous PSOTC Commandants, who established and led the Centre with remarkable success over the past two decades. PSOTC will continue to design, develop, and deliver courses that meet the needs of the Armed Forces of Bosnia and Herzegovina, the UN, NATO, the EU, and other partner organizations. We remain committed to excellence in every aspect of our training and education programs.”
