The NATO MP COE is a unique NATO Military Body that delivers comprehensive and effective contributions to all Military Police (MP) aspects across the full spectrum of NATO operations. As armed forces and civilian organisations are heavily engaged globally, the imperative to train proficient military police officers and non-commissioned officers for multinational cooperation grows. Therefore, the Centre not only offers a range of MP-related courses and events to meet these needs but also produces high-quality resources and provides additional opportunities to deepen the knowledge of the worldwide MP Community of Interest.
Who we are / What we do
The NATO MP COE is an international military organisation that develops and delivers subject matter expertise. In collaboration with other military and civilian entities, the Centre aids in the transition and advancement of MP standards and capabilities. This is to foster cooperation and interoperability among NATO nations, their military police, and gendarmeries, aligning with their role in shaping future capabilities in line with the NATO Strategic Concept across all operations.
While the Centre emphasizes the cooperative facets of MP in support of the NATO Strategic Concept and current or potential operations, its activities are not restricted to these alone. The core areas of focus include:
Doctrine, Concept Development, and Experimentation;
Education and Training;
Research and Development
Analysis and Lessons Learned;
Consultation.
