Dayton, Ohio, 22 May 2025 - The Deputy Chair of the NATO Military Committee, Lieutenant General Andrew M. Rohling, participated in the Public Forum of the NATO Parliamentary Assembly Spring Session, on Thursday, 22nd May. LTG Rohling intervened in a panel discussion on how to bolster the defence industrial base across Europe and North America.

NATO’s Special Representative for the Southern Neighbourhood, Mr. Javier Colomina, conducted a high-level visit to Geneva on 22-23 May 2025 – the first by a NATO Senior official since the opening of the NATO Liaison Office to the International Organisations in Geneva in August 2024. France takes command of NATO Mission Iraq
On Thursday 22 May, Major General Christophe Hintzy from France assumed command of NATO Mission Iraq, at a change of command ceremony in Baghdad. He succeeds Lieutenant General Lucas Schreurs from the Netherlands, who had been in post since May 2024. The ceremony was attended by Iraqi officials, Ambassadors from Allied and partner countries, NATO officials, and other representatives from the international community in Baghdad.
