On September 11-12, 2024, the HQ SACT Quality Assurance Team of Experts (QA ToE) carried out an on-site visit at the Centre of Excellence Defence Against Terrorism (COE DAT) in Ankara, Türkiye. During the evaluation, the institution was assessed against 31 NATO Quality Standards and demonstrated a strong commitment to ongoing improvement, supported by a robust Quality Management System (QMS) that significantly strengthens the quality of its education and individual training delivered for NATO Members and Partners.
The COE DAT provided outstanding support throughout the visit, with its leadership and staff fully engaged during each session. The feedback was highly positive, and several best practices were highlighted. This visit reaffirmed the importance of NATO’s Quality Assurance in Education and Training (E&T), ensuring excellence for students and supporting NATO’s overall interoperability from the training perspective.
As a result, COE DAT will be recommended for UNCONDITIONAL ACCREDITATION for the next six years.
